Hi Connie
I am someone you knew in our way, way past. I was almost 6 when we moved away from Albuquerque and the one thing I remember most about leaving, was leaving my friend Connie. My maiden name is Lyddon and our parents/families were pretty close, and spent quite a bit of time together. We went to the same church and I remember always looking for your families peach and gray Chevy. I am not sure which year it was, but a '55, '56 or '57ish model. My brother is Phil and you called him "Willip." I still call him that from time-to-time. My dad mentioned that he had seen that your mother passed in December, so I went looking for the obituary and found your name. In my research of you I found that your are a writer, and found this blog. I sent you a facebook friend request, As you can see, I didn't turn into much of a writer. God Bless You and your writing. I look forward to reading your blog and it looks like your book is much loved, so will have to check it out!

Thank you. I haven't been very faithful about posting lately. I will try to get back to devotions when I finish the book I am writing.

Evelyn Ray, yes I am a member of ACFW and the DFW group. I am also a member of the North Texas Living Waters Critique group that meets at Brazos Covenant Church off 377 behind Big Lots. Both groups meet on the same Saturday. When I go to the DFW group, I usually meet a friend in Cresson and ride with her. I also belong to Granbury Writers' Bloc, which meets the fourth Monday of each month at 5:00 for critique followed by a short meeting with snacks and either a program or second critique. I welcome you to any of these groups and look forward to meeting you.

I found your website through the ACFW member directory after learning from another member that we live in the same little town.I browsed around a little-I'll have to come back when I have time to stay awhile. The DFW meetings are quite a drive from here, so I've never gone. But apparently there's a group from North Texas Christian Writers that meets here in town? I wasn't aware of that group-may have to check it out. Nice to "meet" you.
